2 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and butter. Blend with pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in nuts. Press 2 3/4 cups of mixture in bottom of ungreased 13x9x2 inch pan. To remaining mixture, add cinnamon, soda, salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg. Mix well. Stir in apples. Spoon evenly over base. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
